Privacy Policy for DigUp Guide

DigUp Guide is an independent documentation website that operates on static hosting without user accounts and loads external tracking or advertising scripts only with prior consent.

Current versions: 0.6.1 for Mac, 0.7.0-beta.1 (beta) for Windows and Linux; checked against DigUp's GitHub releases on October 15, 2026.

Analytics is available but runs only with consent. No advertising service is currently active.

This privacy policy describes how this website (digupguide.com) handles data, cookies, and external services as of October 15, 2026. This notice applies to the website itself, not to the DigUp desktop software.

Hosting and Technical Logs

DigUp Guide is hosted on Cloudflare Pages. When you visit a page, Cloudflare processes standard technical request details, including your IP address, browser type, and requested URL. This website does not offer user accounts, contact forms, or comment submission.

Local Storage and Preferences

The site saves your interface preferences in your browser’s local storage:

  • dg-theme: stores your preferred color mode.
  • dg-consent: records your privacy and cookie selections.

Analytics and advertising scripts remain inactive by default. You can accept, reject, or adjust individual categories in the consent banner. You can update your choice at any time using the Cookie settings link in the footer. Clearing your browser storage resets these choices. Withdrawing consent stops new third-party scripts from loading, but it cannot delete cookies already set on external domains or retract data already transmitted.

Analytics and Advertising Scripts

  • Google Analytics 4 (GA4): if configured in the future, GA4 loads only after you grant analytics consent. It uses cookies to measure visits, viewed pages, and device types.
  • Third-party advertising: if Adsterra or another ad network is configured, advertising tags load only after explicit advertising consent. Rejection loads no ads. Ad providers may process your IP address, device identifiers, visited pages, and ad interactions.

External Services

Download buttons and repository links direct your browser to GitHub, which processes requests under its own privacy policies.
